Building a brand from the ground up
Across Health Home Care (AHHC) is a startup home health care company with a focus on special needs children. AHHC services the Dallas/Fort Worth area and receives referrals from doctors, case managers and other health care agencies. Their mission is to deliver an excellent healthcare experience in the comfort of the patient’s home. They provide both private duty nursing and therapy services.
As a family-owned small business, AHHC seeks to improve the lives of those they serve by providing high-quality care while supporting children and their families emotionally and spiritually.
Being a startup company comes with its own set of challenges since branding and public awareness are either limited or non-existent. AHHC needed help with establishing a solid brand identity that would resonate with potential patients, referrers and nursing candidates for years to come.
The market for in-home health care in the Dallas area was already saturated, so the brand we set out to create needed to be dynamic, impactful and memorable. Since messaging would be different for each target audience, there were variations that would be needed across the board. With this in mind, we outlined all of their potential target groups, and formulated our messages accordingly, always speaking to how AHHC could help them.
Establishing a presence in a crowded and competitive market required a focused, integrated marketing plan. We began with an in-depth strategy session so we could hear first-hand the company’s story, goals, and the “voice” behind the business that should ultimately shine through. From that, we developed the company’s mission statement and core values that would appear throughout their copy, along with their tagline – Administering Hope through Compassionate Care.
We determined it was best for the owner’s voices to come through in the brand. We also wanted to relay a warm feeling of family and togetherness, with a special focus on the support given to the child with special needs. Christian values were also something we wanted to communicate since the company is as much a ministry as it is a healthcare organization. A professional and polished look to the website and the marketing materials would tie everything together into one inviting aesthetic.
Our marketing collateral included:
- Three rack cards, each tailored to the different audiences
- A brochure with more detailed information
- A robust, on-brand and user-friendly website
- Business cards
- Promo items to deliver to doctors’ offices including pads, pens, post-its, and tumblers
- Social media platforms, focusing primarily on Facebook, with several months of content to highlight their service offerings
Across Health Home Care launched in February of 2019 after an intensive 4-month period devoted to the development of their brand and marketing materials.
The staff received positive feedback on their website and brand from nurses and staff, as well as parents who visited the website.
