SEO / SEM Specialist (Freelance/Contractor)

1558 Brand Agency is looking for an SEO / SEM specialist to be responsible for planning, implementing, and managing our clients’ overall SEO strategies including web marketing, web analytics, content strategy planning, link building, competitive analysis, and keyword strategy. The online presence of our clients is extremely important to the success of their businesses so this position will play a huge role in driving business growth and success.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, and Implement SEO and paid advertising strategies for each of our clients.
  • Research and identify target keywords and implement them within content and paid advertising campaigns.
  • Regularly perform thorough keywords research.
  • Content optimization for websites, blogs, and other digital platforms as required.
  • Estimate and manage monthly search engine marketing budgets.
  • Collect and analyze data, research competitors and identify trends in order to achieve maximum ROI for paid search campaigns.
  • Set up and manage PPC/CPC, remarketing, and social media advertising campaigns.
  • Monitor and report on KPI’s, using Google Analytics, Google Ads, and other software tools.
  • Generate monthly reports on SERPs and advertising engagement for each brand.
  • Work towards organic search optimization and ROI maximization
  • Prepare and present reports regularly
  • Identify buyer personas to better target identified audiences.
  • Identify problems and deficiency and implement solutions in a timely manner.
  • Suggest improvements for process and productivity optimization.
  • Work with web developers and marketing teams to properly implement SEO best practices.
  • Stay up to date with the latest SEO and digital marketing latest trends and best practices.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of proven SEO experience, including content creation, keyword research, and reporting.
  • 3+ years of proven SEM experience managing ad campaigns across search engines, particularly Google.
  • Understanding of digital marketing and how SEO and SEM fits into larger marketing initiatives.
  • Ability to analyze data and provide evidence-based recommendations
  • Knowledge of technical aspects of SEO (HTML markup, canonical URLs, CSS, etc.) and the ability to implement as needed.
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO and SEM.
  • Experience in tools such as SEMRush, Moz, Google Search Console, etc.
  • Experience with bid management tools, specifically Google Ads.
  • Experience with A/B testing and other testing metrics.
  • Experience with link building campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of website analytics tools, such as Google Analytics.
  • Experience using Google Tag Manager and/or remarketing platforms is a plus.
  • Experience with social media advertising is a plus.
  • Experience with SEO/SEM campaigns for e-commerce is a plus.

Time Commitment and Working Conditions:

  • Workload varies from week to week based on client work and projects in progress
  • Average 10-20 hours per week commitment
  • Flex hours with ability to work from anywhere
  • Must be willing and able to meet deadlines which may require work on evenings and weekends
  • Must have a laptop, internet connection, and phone
  • Ability to join weekly video conference calls

Hourly Rate:

  • $20 – $30 per hour (based on proven results and experience)
